Malinda enters the MTC

Well, we dropped her off about 3 hours ago now! We are so excited for her and what lies ahead.  We are so proud of the woman she is and can't wait to see what comes next!

Malinda opening her Mission Call - August 28, 2012

Malinda opened her mission call up 3 months ago today, and she went in to the MTC just 2 hours ago.  It is so exciting that she is going to the Indiana, Indianapolis Mission! My sister Lori, and her family live there, and the Miskins that used to be in our ward here in Alpine, and she has two cousins that served in the same mission on the Palmer side of the family, so cool!

Well it is down to the last few days until Malinda enters the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.  She has looked forward to this day for a long time, and we couldn't be prouder of her for her desire to serve her Heavenly Father and her Savior for 18 months.  Yesterday we celebrated Christmas with Malinda at the suggestion of her Mission President, the girls gave me this beautiful plaque here on the left...the crying began. Our girls said goodbye to each other as Adrianne headed back to Dixie College to finish out the term, and is expecting her mission call to arrive any time now, so they won't see each other again until they are both home from their missions.
